Blair County Chamber of Commerce BASICS Committee (Business And Schools Investing in Cooperative Solutions) is dedicated to a strong partnership between our schools and the business community, and is dedicated to communicating career choices to students, parents and educators so they can prepare themselves today for the challenges of tomorrow.

Our Mission is to create a workforce development program that will significantly improve the match between our region’s business needs and the education systems’ priorities for the present and the future. We strive to educate the community so they understand what career opportunities exist in the region before making education, training, and employment decisions.
